Atheism, Evidence, Belief, & Truth

I've been thinking...

You really can't prove to an atheist that there is a God anymore than you can prove to a blind man that there is a sun.

You can lay out all the evidence for that blind man, but you still can't prove to him that the sun really exists. Not without his own personal belief that it does.

However, even if that blind man refuses to belief and fights it, demanding that the sun does not indeed exist, that blind man, just the same, cannot in fact disprove the existence of the sun.

Therefore, just as you cannot prove the existence of the sun to one born blind, neither can you prove the existence of God to one who is spiritually blind to Him.

And yet, it is silly for one with such blindness to fight the belief that there very well may be something beyond himself. Because how can he KNOW when he has not seen everything there is to see? When he is such a small part of such a big universe?

He can believe that the Creator does not exist, but he cannot prove that He doesn't. Neither can one prove to him that He does. You can give him evidence of His existence in SO many different ways; however, there is no way to actually, physically prove it (without God's own intervention).

And so, you either believe based on the evidence that there is indeed Someone out there greater than you, or you do not belief.

There is no firm proof either way, BUT there is evidence of God just as there is evidence of the sun, even to one who is blind. Even without sight, he can feel the heat of the sun on his skin. That's evidence; not proof.

There is no proof. There is only evidence and belief. However, regardless of belief, there is still only one truth. God either exists or He doesn't. The sun either exists or it doesn't. It is up to you to either discover the truth or run from it.

Random Post of the Month

I remember when you were here... Sometimes I'd be so content just to stare at your face.... Observe every feature, every single little detail...

There's something so mesmerizing...and so peaceful....about your face... Something behind your eyes... That's different.... I stare as deeply into them as I can, and still I wanna go deeper.

I want to delve into the depths of your soul and understand everything about you.... How you think, how you feel... I want to bind our spirits entirely and truly be of one heart.

One heart, so that one cannot live without the other. I want to be molded to fit you perfectly. Isn't that what marriage is about? A combining of 2 spirits into 1 spirit. Both parties have to give some in order to become molded into what the other party needs and desires.

Neither gets to make all the decisions themselves.... Instead, sometimes one lets the other have what they want... Other times the other lets the one have what they want.

You're no longer 1 spirit, but 2 in 1. Or if you have God in your lives as well, 3 in 1 because it takes God to make a truly happy and thriving marriage.

So you become molded into the most Christ-like image you can be, all the while becoming molded into what your spouse needs and desires for you to be. And therefore, you will no longer be 1 spirit, but 3 in 1. Makes sense to me anyways...

I really do love you, Grant... You mean so much to me.... I hope I can be all that you need me to be as well as all that God wants me to be. Help me to always strive to meet this goal.

Day of Invertation (3/14/12)

Today is 4/13/12's day of invertation.... 3/14/12!!! =D

I spent today lifting bags of dirt and filling pots at work until 4 o'clock... I also played FreeRealms on the computer until Mom kicked me off....

Then I ate some leftovers and read my book...am sucking on a lolly now.... I also took a few random photos and sent them to Grant... And most of all, I've been daydreaming about my Dorable all throughout the day....

Can't wait to be married.... 30 more days... Oh yeah, and I've seen the number 43 like 43 million times today already.... Kinda crazy... But awesome.... =P

I love you, TNARGIE!!!! XD

Chow for now.... BAZOWWW!!! 8D

Leaving The Salvation Army

I had been volunteering with The Salvation Army since the beginning of August up until the end of January.  Most of what I did was working in the mailing room.  I'd stuff envelopes, write signatures, add labels, do sorting, etc.

I also got to help with Christmas stuff (Angel Tree and counting out and sorting stockings) while I was there.  But the BEST part of everything was getting to work a little on the computer doing data entry on MS Excel.

I had always wanted to try that...  And I finally got the chance through volunteering....  All in all, I think it was a great experience to work there.  I got to gain some experience myself, I now have something to slap down on my resume, AND I helped them out all in the process.

However, recently I have decided to leave The Salvation Army because I have been offered another job working at Lavender Fields Herb Farm...  And this time, I will be getting paid for my efforts.  I figure that will also help with paying for everything involving the wedding.

It was kinda sad to be leaving them, as I've really grown to care about Ms. Bridgette (my supervisor) and Maddie (she works alongside Ms. Bridgette).  Everyone there has always been so kind to me and appreciative of my efforts.
I hope God will continue to bless The Salvation Army, as it continues in "Doing The Most Good" for all those around them.

A very small glimpse of what I'd been working on recently for The Salvation Army.
My last day!!!!
Farewell, my friends at The Salvation Army...  May you be blessed as you continue in your work for others....

Jaime's Birthday

Recently, we celebrated my little sister's birthday.  Jaime turned 14 on January 19.  I know...  This post is a little late, right...?  Sawee!!!  DX

We had a lot of fun going to Sweet Frog for the first time.  Sweet Frog is a Christian based business that sells frozen yogurt.  Doesn't sound spectacular, right...?  But it is INCREDIBLE.

I love the coffee flavored stuff and all the chocolate-y yogurts!!!  It's actually very similar to ice cream, believe it or not.  It's just slightly flavored a little differently.

Here are a few pictures from Jaime's birthday:

Dad, Mom, Will, and Jaime at Sweet Frog!!!
That would be me...  I know I look dumb....  >.>
This was the present that I made Jaime for her birthday...
It's a sock monkey!!!  =D
My brother helped me mummify the monkey in white streamers, so this is how she found him upon opening the box....  =)
Unwrapping the monkey....
I think she liked him....  =P
Laughing!!!  =D
This was Jaime's gift from my brother.  It's a box that LOOKS like a book!!!  She actually thought it was a book before, however, upon opening it and having all the candy stuffed inside spill out onto her lap, she realized....  It's not a book!!!  It's a box!!!!  =D
Jaime with her new hat, "book", and candy....  =)
A better view of the box....

All in all, I think Jaime had a really great birthday...  And I quite enjoyed it myself!!!!  Lol!!  I actually was really excited about her opening all the presents we got her....  Especially mine.

Actually, I chose to get her the sock monkey this year because once when I made my fiance a sock monkey (a blue one), she told me that I had to make her one before I leave (or before I get married and head to Ohio).

And obviously, I took that very seriously...  Lol!  =P

She was really surprised too 'cause she was actually at a friend's house when we (Mom and I) took out the sewing machine and did all that.  She had NO idea...  =D

Jaime also received a Willow Tree statue from my parents, so that was really cool as well...  Unfortunately, I don't have a picture for that....  =/

But it looks like this:

Think that's really cool...?  Check out their website for more Willow Tree statues: http://willowtree.info/products/figurines/all

I think my favorites are "Quest" and "Promise"...  =)

Anyways, Jaime had a great birthday...  Got some really cool stuff....  We all enjoyed Sweet Frog very much.  So yep.  =D

My New Phone!!!! XD

Heya!!!  So guess what???  I got my first phone yesterday!!!  It's AWESOME!!!!

And now I can text and talk to Grant via my own phone...instead of using the house phone....  So that is pretty sweet.  =)

It's a Samsung Convoy 2, so yep....  Awesome...  Even comes with a music player and can take an sd card up to 32 gb.  =D

And this baby has a better camera on it than even my webcam!!!  Haha!!!  Craziness....  =P
